CORIOflex Switcher/Scaler Systems result from the combination of various C2-1000/2000 Switcher/Scaler units and S2 Input Expansion units to create unique Switcher-Scaler Systems.

These units are interconnected via the rear panel Options Connectors to become fully integrated from a video/audio flow and control standpoint.

For example, when a C2 Switcher/Scaler�s inputs are increased using multiple S2 Input Expansion Modules, the entire system functions as a single unit.

As shown by the Windows Control Panel example in the Photos Section, all available inputs appear with equal status, regardless if they are directly on the C2 unit or via an attached S2 unit.

This includes seamless switching with special effects, dissolve or cut transitions when different inputs are selected.

This allows the user to tailor the system to meet specific input quantity and signal type requirements.

Since all interconnections are external and recognition is automatic, configuring the system is as simple as plugging in the Options Interconnect Cables and Video and Audio Interconnect Cables.

External control of the CORIOflex system is via a single RS-232 interface and in the case of CX systems based on the C2-2000A series, an IP interface is provided.

CORIOflex models include all rackmounting accessories.

Several options are available to enhance the CORIOflex System. S2-106AD � A 6x1 Stereo Audio Switcher accommodating Balanced or Unbalanced, Hi or Lo Impedance signals.

A typical CORIOflex configuration for advanced audio would include S2 units with Audio (�A� suffix models) feeding into an S2-106AD.

This unit also provides advanced audio signal processing, including independent delay for each input. P2-105 is an optional Power Module that provides 5x 12VDC outputs to power five C2 and S2 modules.

Although each C2 and S2 unit comes with its own Locking DC Inline Power Adapter, the P2-105 centralizes power distribution and allows the entire CORIOflex system to operate from a single AC plug.

S2-101AA is an optional Stereo Audio Power Amplifier that delivers 10 watts per channel to speakers.

CORIOflex Configurations provide the ultimate in Switcher/Scaler flexibility by offering hundreds of possible configurations to exactly match virtually any system requirement.

All necessary rack mounting kits are included in the system. Follow these simple steps to configure the CORIOflex system.

1.Choosing the proper C2 base unit for the job Select the base model that provides the desired features.

a.C2-1000 models provide Analog I/O only. C2-2000A models add DVI I/O and some add SDI in or out.

b.Models with a "50" or "55" as the last two digits provide keying and other advanced features.

2.Select the S2 Input Expansion Modules.

a.Only one S2 unit within each format group (PC, CV, YC or DVI) may be included in any single configuration. For example, if an S2-105PC is selected, that precludes the use of an S2-105PCA , S2-109PC or another S2-105PC.

b.However, the configuration may include one S2 unit from each of the multiple format groups of S2 units, such as one PC unit, one CV unit, one YC unit and one DVI unit.

c.For each S2 unit added, a corresponding C2 input is used. For example, the C2-1200 has 2x CV inputs and if an S2-110CV is added, it occupies one of the C2-1200�s CV inputs, resulting in a total of 11x CV inputs for the system.

3.Choose the desired Options.

a.S2-106AD � A 6x1 Stereo Audio Switcher accommodating Balanced or Unbalanced, Hi-Z or Lo-Z. A typical CORIOflex configuration for advanced audio would include S2 units with Audio (�A� suffix models) feeding into an S2-106AD. This unit also provides advanced audio signal processing, including independent delay for each input.

b.P2-105 � A Power Supply capable of being rack mounted that provides 5x 12VDC outputs to power C2 and S2 units. This unit may be used instead of the small inline power adapters that are included with each C2 or S2 unit.

c.S2-101AA � A Stereo Audio Power Amplifier that delivers 10 watts per channel to speakers.

4.Typical CORIOflex Configurations.

The Configurations Section outlines some sample CORIOflex configurations. However, many times that number of additional configurations is possible by observing the guidelines above. For example, the typical configurations given do not mix 5-Input S2 units with 10-Input S2 units for input expansion, but that is possible. Down Converters are not discussed in detail, but CORIOflex Systems can be based on C2-1100 series and C2-2100A series models. Please contact the TV One Sales Department for assistance.
